96-hr-5676 96 hr 5676 A bill to amend the Safe Drinking Water Act to provide for a study of the health effects of barium and radium in drinking water and to suspend the national interim primary drinking water standards for such contaminants pending the completion of such study and the promulgation of new standards for such contaminants. McClory, Robert [R-IL-13] IL R M000340 2 Directs the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to conduct a study of any health effects which result from exposure to barium, barium ion, radium, or any combination thereof, in concentrations greater than the maximum level specified in the interim regulations. Requires that a report of such study be submitted to Congress. Directs the Administrator to promulgate a revised national primary drinking water regulation for such substances following completion of such study.
