E8-26973 Inert Ingredient: Exemption from the Requirement of a Tolerance for (S,S)-Ethylenediaminedisuccinic Acid Rule This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of (S,S)-Ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid (CAS Reg. No. 20846-91-7) ((S,S)-EDDS) when used as an inert ingredient sequestrant or chelating agent in pesticide formulations applied to growing crops only under 40 CFR 180.920. Associated Octel Company, Limited, submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA), requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance.
