Chlormequat chloride is a plant growth regulator registered for use on ornamental plants grown in greenhouses, nurseries and shadehouses. Chlormequat chloride has no food or feed uses, or U.S. tolerances associated with its use. EPA has reviewed the low risk pesticide, chlormequat chloride, through a modified, streamlined version of the public participation process that the Agency uses to involve the public in developing pesticide reregistration and tolerance reassessment decisions.
