L. 97-375), we are giving notice of a joint meeting of the Commerce Secretary's 2000 Census Advisory Committee (CAC), the CAC of Professional Associations, the CAC on the African American Population, the CAC on the American Indian and Alaska Native Populations, the CAC on the Asian and Pacific Islander Populations, and the CAC on the Hispanic Population. The agenda will be limited to discussing how the Census Bureau can best use paid advertising to reach and encourage the participation of the African American Population, and the general population as a whole, in Census 2000. (A Joint Advisory Committee meeting on October 26, 1998 also focused on the advertising campaign to reach the general population and the American Indian and Alaska Native, Asian and Pacific Islander and Hispanic Populations.)
