This amendment also requires installation of a placard if the replacement of the MFDU is accomplished prior to modification of the thrust reverser door. This amendment is prompted by a report that cracks were found in the flanges of the main hinge fittings of the horizontal stabilizer, which were caused by higher than anticipated loads induced during thrust reverser operation.
