95-27799 Beverages: Bottled Water Proposed Rule The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to amend its regulations to exempt mineral water from the allowable level for aluminum in FDA's quality standard for bottled water. The agency is also proposing to update the testing methods referenced in the quality standard for bottled water. Elsewhere in this issue of the Federal Register, the agency is publishing a final rule to establish a standard of identity for bottled water. This proposal addresses two related issues that fell outside the scope of that rulemaking.
