95-23950 WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program Rule This final rule amends and finalizes an interim rule that was published on March 11, 1994 establishing requirements for the operation and management of the WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). The purposes of the FMNP are to provide resources to women, infants, and children who are nutritionally at risk, in the form of fresh, nutritious, unprepared foods (such as fruits and vegetables) from farmers' markets; to expand the awareness and use of farmers' markets; and to increase sales at such markets.
