| 2021-21856 | Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Endangered Species Status for Bog Buck Moth | Proposed Rule | We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), propose to list the bog buck moth (Hemileuca maia menyanthevora) (=H.iroquois), a moth that occurs in Oswego County, New York (NY), and Ontario, Canada, as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). After a review of the best available scientific and commercial information, we find that listing the species is warranted. Accordingly, we propose to list the bog buck moth as an endangered species under the Act. If we finalize this rule as proposed, it would add this species to the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and extend the Act's protections to the species. We have determined that designation of critical habitat for the bog buck moth is not prudent at this time. | 2021-10-14 | 2021 | 10 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/10/14/2021-21856/endangered-and-threatened-wildlife-and-plants-endangered-species-status-for-bog-buck-moth | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2021-10-14/pdf/2021-21856.pdf | Interior Department; Fish and Wildlife Service | 253,197 | We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), propose to list the bog buck moth (Hemileuca maia menyanthevora) (=H.iroquois), a moth that occurs in Oswego County, New York (NY), and Ontario, Canada, as an endangered species under the Endangered... |
