2016-31227 Air Plan Approval; Illinois; Volatile Organic Compounds Definition Rule Under the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving a state submission as a revision to the Illinois State Implementation Plan (SIP). The revision amends the Illinois Administrative Code (IAC) by updating the definition of volatile organic material (VOM), otherwise known as volatile organic compounds (VOC), to exclude 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP).
