2016-30278 Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes Rule We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 767-200 and -300 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of a fire in the bilge area of the cargo compartment that burned through the insulation blankets that were intended to prevent smoke from migrating behind the cargo compartment sidewall liners and upward into the main cabin. This AD requires replacing the cargo compartment insulation blankets on the left and right sides with new insulation blankets that incorporate fire stops. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. 2016-12-27 2016 12 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/12/27/2016-30278/airworthiness-directives-the-boeing-company-airplanes https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2016-12-27/pdf/2016-30278.pdf Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration 492,159 We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 767-200 and -300 series airplanes.
