| 2016-30021 | Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes | Proposed Rule | We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 757-200 and -200PF series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by an evaluation by the design approval holder (DAH) indicating that certain areas of the frame webs are subject to widespread fatigue damage (WFD). This proposed AD would require high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections of the frame webs for any open coordinating holes, tooling holes, and insulation blanket attachment holes; repair if necessary; and modification of the frame webs at all open hole locations, which would terminate the repetitive inspections. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. | 2016-12-20 | 2016 | 12 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/12/20/2016-30021/airworthiness-directives-the-boeing-company-airplanes | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2016-12-20/pdf/2016-30021.pdf | Transportation Department; Federal Aviation Administration | 492,159 | We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 757-200 and -200PF series airplanes.
