In total, approximately 65,038 acres (26,320 hectares) and 20.3 river miles (32.7 river kilometers) in Whatcom, Skagit, Thurston, Skamania, and Klickitat Counties in Washington, and Wasco, Deschutes, Klamath, Lane, and Jackson Counties in Oregon, fall within the boundaries of the critical habitat designation.
