2011-8815 Irradiation in the Production, Processing, and Handling of Food Rule The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responding to objections and is denying requests that it received for a hearing on the final rule that amended the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of ionizing radiation for the reduction of Salmonella in fresh shell eggs.
