2011-28117 Forwarding of Asylum Applications to the Department of State Proposed Rule The Department of Justice is planning to amend its regulations to alter the process by which the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) forwards asylum applications for consideration by the Department of State (DOS). This change would increase the efficiency of DOS's review of asylum applications and is consistent with similar changes already made by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 2011-10-31 2011 10 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2011/10/31/2011-28117/forwarding-of-asylum-applications-to-the-department-of-state https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2011-10-31/pdf/2011-28117.pdf Justice Department; Executive Office for Immigration Review 268,149 The Department of Justice is planning to amend its regulations to alter the process by which the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) forwards asylum applications for consideration by the Department of State (DOS).
