2010-32565 Privacy Act of 1974, as Amended; Proposed Routine Use Notice In accordance with the Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. 552a(e)(4) and (e)(11)), we are issuing public notice of our intent to add a new routine use to our system of records entitled Master Files of Social Security Number (SSN) Holders and SSN Applications, 60-0058 (the Enumeration System). The routine use to the Enumeration System will allow us, upon request of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Agriculture's National Finance Center (NFC), Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the States, or the States' respective contractors or agents that administer the Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) to verify the name, SSN, and date of birth, and confirm whether citizenship allegations match information in our records for the purposes of determining eligibility for PCIP. We discuss the routine use in greater detail in the SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION section below.
