2010-21833 Direct Investment Surveys: BE-577, Quarterly Survey of U.S. Direct Investment Abroad-Direct Transactions of U.S. Reporter With Foreign Affiliate Proposed Rule This proposed rule would amend regulations of the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), Department of Commerce, to set forth the reporting requirements for BE-577 quarterly survey of U.S. direct investment abroad. The survey is conducted quarterly and obtains sample data on transactions and positions between U.S.-owned foreign business enterprises and their U.S. parents. BEA proposes modification of items on the survey form and in the reporting criteria.
