The Agency's risk assessments and other related documents also are available in the thidiazuron docket. Thidiazuron is registered for use as a pre-harvest cotton defoliant or growth regulator. It removes green leaves and immature fruiting structures, which contribute to cotton staining. EPA has reviewed thidiazuron through the public participation process that the Agency uses to involve the public in developing pesticide reregistration and tolerance reassessment decisions.
