The meeting location is the Green Center on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. The Committee is comprised of members from academia, industry, and State government. The Committee shall advise the Director of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) on matters relating to the USGS's participation in the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program. The Committee will review a draft of the 5-year plan of the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program. This will include a critique of the goals and objectives of the Program over the next 5 years in earthquake hazards assessments, in research on earthquake processes and effects, an in earthquake monitoring and notification.
