For some of these products, the Department of Energy (DOE, Department or we) is adopting efficiency standards contained in the new American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) and Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) Standard 90.1, as revised in October 1999, as uniform national standards.
