| 01-18429 | Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products; Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Energy Conservation Standards | Proposed Rule | In response to a petition for reconsideration, and as a result of review under President Bush's Regulatory Review Plan, the Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to withdraw its January 22, 2001 final rule setting forth energy conservation standards for residential central air conditioners and central air conditioning heat pumps that are not yet effective and not enforceable until January 23, 2006. As a substitute, DOE proposes to amend the currently enforceable standards by raising the minimum energy efficiency levels by 20 percent. DOE also invites public comment on proposed regulatory amendments to define and implement statutory limitations on its authority to prescribe amended energy conservation standards. | 2001-07-25 | 2001 | 7 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2001/07/25/01-18429/energy-conservation-program-for-consumer-products-central-air-conditioners-and-heat-pumps-energy | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2001-07-25/pdf/01-18429.pdf | Energy Department; Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Office | 136,137 | In response to a petition for reconsideration, and as a result of review under President Bush's Regulatory Review Plan, the Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to withdraw its January 22, 2001 final rule setting forth energy conservation standards... |
