This action responds to the request submitted by FMC/Astaris to renew their existing CBC extension for one additional year. FMC/Astaris requested a renewal of the CBC extension due to the continued lack of available treatment capacity for five waste streams, and the need for additional time to design, construct, and begin operation of an on-site treatment plant to treat the wastes. EPA concludes that FMC/Astaris has adequately demonstrated that the request should be granted. By RCRA statute, this is the last CBC extension that can be granted for these wastes.
