00-9654 National Primary Drinking Water Regulations; Radionuclides; Notice of Data Availability Proposed Rule The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed regulations to limit the amount of radionuclides found in drinking water on July 18, 1991. In general, the proposal revised current National Primary Drinking Water regulations (NPDWR); a NPDWR was proposed for uranium which is unregulated. Since that time, new information has become available which the Agency is considering in finalizing these proposed regulations. In addition, the 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) contained provisions which directly affect the 1991 proposed rule. This document presents additional information relevant to the Maximum Contaminant Level Goals (MCLGs), the Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs), and monitoring requirements contained in the 1991 proposal. EPA is seeking public review and comment on these new data. The Agency is also soliciting comments on several implementation options that are being evaluated for inclusion in the final regulations. 2000-04-21 2000 4 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/04/21/00-9654/national-primary-drinking-water-regulations-radionuclides-notice-of-data-availability https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-04-21/pdf/00-9654.pdf Environmental Protection Agency 145 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed regulations to limit the amount of radionuclides found in drinking water on July 18, 1991.
