00-3276 Prompt Corrective Action Rule In 1998, Congress amended the Federal Credit Union Act to establish minimum capital standards for federally-insured credit unions and to require the NCUA Board to adopt, by regulation, a system of "prompt corrective action" to restore the capital level of credit unions which become inadequately capitalized.
