Subject to the availability of funds, the amount available for support of this program in FY 2001 is anticipated to be between approximately $1,330,000 and $1,425,000, subject to the enactment of the appropriations act that provides funds to CSREES. This notice sets out the objectives for these projects, the eligibility criteria for projects and applicants, the application procedures, and the set of instructions needed to apply for a Potato Research Project grant. CSREES also is soliciting comments regarding this request for proposals from any interested party. These comments will be considered in the development of the next request for proposals for this program.
