| 00-21647 | Oriental Fruit Fly; Removal of Quarantined Area | Rule | We are adopting as a final rule, without change, an interim rule that amended the Oriental fruit fly regulations by removing the quarantine on a portion of Los Angeles County, CA, and by removing the restrictions on the interstate movement of regulated articles from that area. The quarantine was necessary to prevent the spread of Oriental fruit fly into noninfested areas of the United States. We have determined that the Oriental fruit fly has been eradicated from this portion of Los Angeles County, CA, and that the quarantine and restrictions on the interstate movement of regulated articles from this area are no longer necessary. This portion of Los Angeles County, CA, was the last remaining area in California quarantined for the Oriental fruit fly. As a result of the interim rule, there are no longer any areas in the continental United States quarantined because of the Oriental fruit fly. | 2000-08-24 | 2000 | 8 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/08/24/00-21647/oriental-fruit-fly-removal-of-quarantined-area | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-08-24/pdf/00-21647.pdf | Agriculture Department; Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service | 12,22 | We are adopting as a final rule, without change, an interim rule that amended the Oriental fruit fly regulations by removing the quarantine on a portion of Los Angeles County, CA, and by removing the restrictions on the interstate movement of regulated... |
