00-19342 Kiwifruit Grown in California and Imported Kiwifruit; Proposed Relaxation of the Minimum Maturity Requirement Proposed Rule This rule would relax the current minimum maturity requirements for fresh shipments of kiwifruit grown in California and for kiwifruit imported into the United States. The Kiwifruit Administrative Committee (Committee) which locally administers the marketing order for California kiwifruit unanimously recommended the change for California kiwifruit. This change is expected to reduce handler inspection costs, increase grower returns, and enable handlers and importers to compete more effectively in the marketplace. 2000-07-31 2000 7 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/07/31/00-19342/kiwifruit-grown-in-california-and-imported-kiwifruit-proposed-relaxation-of-the-minimum-maturity https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-07-31/pdf/00-19342.pdf Agriculture Department; Agricultural Marketing Service 12,9 This rule would relax the current minimum maturity requirements for fresh shipments of kiwifruit grown in California and for kiwifruit imported into the United States.
