00-18770 Amendment to the Bank Secrecy Act Regulations-Exemptions From the Requirement to Report Transactions in Currency; Interim Rule Rule Rules previously issued under the Bank Secrecy Act established new procedures for exemption of transactions of retail and other businesses from the requirement that depository institutions report transactions in currency in excess of $10,000. The interim rule (the "Interim Rule") contained in this document modifies those procedures so that they will also apply to transactions involving money market deposit accounts used for business purposes. The Interim Rule also makes certain technical changes in the exemption procedures.
