| 00-17598 | Delegation of the Adjudication of Certain Temporary Agricultural Worker (H-2A) Petitions, Appellate and Revocation Authority for Those Petitions to the Secretary of Labor | Rule | This rule amends the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Service) regulations to transfer to the Secretary of Labor the authority to adjudicate petitions for temporary agricultural workers (H-2As), and the authority to decide appeals on those decisions and to make determinations for revocation of petition approvals. This rule does not affect the Service's authority to make determinations at a port-of-entry of an alien's admissibility to the United States, or of an alien's eligibility for change of nonimmigrant status, or for extension of stay. This rule streamlines the existing H-2A petitioning process and makes the process easier and faster for employers of temporary agricultural workers. | 2000-07-13 | 2000 | 7 | https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/07/13/00-17598/delegation-of-the-adjudication-of-certain-temporary-agricultural-worker-h-2a-petitions-appellate-and | https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-07-13/pdf/00-17598.pdf | Justice Department; Immigration and Naturalization Service | 268,232 | This rule amends the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Service) regulations to transfer to the Secretary of Labor the authority to adjudicate petitions for temporary agricultural workers (H-2As), and the authority to decide appeals on those... |
