00-17598 Delegation of the Adjudication of Certain Temporary Agricultural Worker (H-2A) Petitions, Appellate and Revocation Authority for Those Petitions to the Secretary of Labor Rule This rule amends the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Service) regulations to transfer to the Secretary of Labor the authority to adjudicate petitions for temporary agricultural workers (H-2As), and the authority to decide appeals on those decisions and to make determinations for revocation of petition approvals. This rule does not affect the Service's authority to make determinations at a port-of-entry of an alien's admissibility to the United States, or of an alien's eligibility for change of nonimmigrant status, or for extension of stay. This rule streamlines the existing H-2A petitioning process and makes the process easier and faster for employers of temporary agricultural workers. 2000-07-13 2000 7 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/07/13/00-17598/delegation-of-the-adjudication-of-certain-temporary-agricultural-worker-h-2a-petitions-appellate-and https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-07-13/pdf/00-17598.pdf Justice Department; Immigration and Naturalization Service 268,232 This rule amends the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Service) regulations to transfer to the Secretary of Labor the authority to adjudicate petitions for temporary agricultural workers (H-2As), and the authority to decide appeals on those...
