00-1721 Weatherization Assistance Program for Low-Income Persons Proposed Rule The Department of Energy (DOE) proposes to amend the regulations for the Weatherization Assistance Program for Low-Income Persons. DOE is proposing changes based on a series of open forum discussions with numerous State and local stakeholders as well as through program experience gained since issuance of the final rule on June 5, 1995. These proposed changes add clarifying language, delete obsolete language, and propose certain regulatory changes to improve the overall operation of the Program to assist State and local agencies in administering the Program. Further, these proposed changes will give States and local agencies additional flexibility in addressing the particular weatherization needs of their low-income citizens while achieving better program results with less paperwork. 2000-01-26 2000 1 https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2000/01/26/00-1721/weatherization-assistance-program-for-low-income-persons https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2000-01-26/pdf/00-1721.pdf Energy Department; Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Office 136,137 The Department of Energy (DOE) proposes to amend the regulations for the Weatherization Assistance Program for Low-Income Persons.
