00-10448 Compatibility Between Cable Systems and Consumer Electronics Equipment Proposed Rule The Federal Communications Commission has adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on compatibility between cable television systems and consumer electronics equipment. The NPRM is designed to resolve outstanding compatibility issues, in particular requirements for labeling digital television (DTV) receivers to describe their capabilities to operate with digital cable television systems and questions regarding licensing terms for copy protection technology.
