Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park located at the southern end of the Roosevelt Island, New York City, NY. The temporary safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by an aerial drone display scheduled for September 15, 2023. The rehearsal and display will consist of segmented flights, lasting approximately 11-minutes each, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. While the aerial drones are in-flight, entry of vessels or persons into the safety zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector New York.
