NOAA-NMFS-2013-0153 NOAA Proposed Adjustments to 2014 Annual Catch Limits for the Atlantic Herring Fishery Rulemaking 2014-05-12T14:24:51Z 0b000064814577a5 0648-BD70 Amendment 4 and Framework 2 respectively adjust the 2014 annual catch limits within the Atlantic herring fishery. The herring fishery is broken into four management areas and this action would address the under-harvest and overages that occurred during the 2012 fishing year. Based upon the final herring catch data from 2012, this action proposes to adjust the 2014 annual catch limits for the four management areas respectively. In 2012, there were catch limit overages in herring management area 1B, area 2, and area 3 and as such the respective annual catch limits will be reduced. Conversely, the 2012 annual catch limit from Area 1A was under-harvested and as such the 2014 area 1A sub-annual catch limit will be increased by 10%.               {"displayProperties": [], "keywords": null, "modifyDate": "2014-05-12T14:24:51Z", "dkAbstract": "Amendment 4 and Framework 2 respectively adjust the 2014 annual catch limits within the Atlantic herring fishery.
