Section 2 of Public Law 117-104 amended Section 464z-3(h) of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act (42 U.S.C. 285(h)) to update REP eligibility requirements to include current or former Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) or NIMHD Centers of Excellence awards made under Section 736 and Section 464-4 of the PHS Act. Additionally, the proposed rule would amend the title of part 52i to read “National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Endowment Program”, amend the title of Section 52i.1 by revising it to read “To what program does this part apply, and make changes to several references in section 52i.13 that are necessary to update it.
