APHIS-2021-0029 APHIS Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program Fence Deterrent in Cameron and Willacy Counties, TX Nonrulemaking 2021-07-29T13:41:51Z 0b00006484b3ea57   The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA), “Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program Fence Deterrent in Cameron and Willacy Counties.” The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts for APHIS VS involvement in funding the installation of high game fencing at specific locations in Cameron and Willacy Counties, Texas. The proposed high game fencing would help prevent or limit the spread of cattle fever ticks carried by wild animals (e.g., white-tailed deer and nilgai antelope) in cattle ranches and other tick-free areas used by cattle populations. APHIS VS is requesting that the public review and provide their comments on the EA. We request that all comments on the EA be submitted by June 30, 2021.
