| APHIS-2016-0075 | APHIS | Aquatic Mammal Damage Management in Texas | Nonrulemaking | 2017-01-03T13:42:17Z | 0b000064822ec545 | The United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services (WS) program, in cooperation with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, would like to invite you to participate in the development of an Environmental Assessment (EA) addressing damage and threats caused by beaver, muskrats, nutria, and river otters in Texas. The need for action identifies damage to agricultural resources, property, natural resources, and threats to human safety associated with those aquatic mammals in the State. WS identified a number of issues and concerns through the initial scoping process and through consultation with state and federal agencies. WS used those issues to develop alternative approaches to address the need for action. The EA analyzes potential environmental effects of conducting alternative strategies to reduce damage associated with beaver, muskrats, nutria, and otter. WS is seeking review and comments on the EA from interested parties as part of the scoping process to identify additional concerns, issues, and alternatives. To receive full consideration, WS must receive all comments by the close of business on December 2, 2016. | National Environmental Policy Act | ["USDA", "agriculture"] | Wildlife Services | {"displayProperties": [{"name": "abstract", "label": "Summary", "tooltip": "Describes an agency's specific regulatory action; equivalents: Abstract, Description, Docket Subject, General Info, Summary."}], "keywords": ["USDA", "agriculture"], "modifyDate": "2017-01-03T13:42:17Z", "dkAbstract": "The United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services (WS) program, in cooperation with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, would like to invite you to participate in the development of an Environmental Assessment (EA) addressing damage and threats caused by beaver, muskrats, nutria, and river otters in Texas.
