AARON BEAN\n\n                               of florida\n\n                    in the house of representatives\n\n                       Thursday, October 1, 2026\n\n  Mr. BEAN of Florida. Mr. Speaker, I rise to recognize Clay County's\nupcoming America250 celebration. 250 years ago, America was born from a\nrevolutionary idea: that government gets its power from the people.\nThat idea became the United States of America. This year, our Nation\ncelebrates its 250th anniversary. Back home in Clay County, Florida, we\nare marking this historic milestone by remembering what we inherited\nand recommitting ourselves to passing it on.\n  On October 14, in celebration of America's 250th anniversary, Clay\nCounty leaders will gather at the Historic Triangle in Green Cove\nSprings to sign our America 250 proclamation at exactly 2:50 in the\nafternoon.\n  October 14 has special meaning. On that day in 1774, the First\nContinental Congress adopted the Declaration and Resolves, another\nimportant step on the road to July 4, 1776.\n  Mr. Speaker, freedom does not run on autopilot. Every generation must\nteach it, defend it, and pass it on. Clay County is answering that\ncall.\n  On October 14, Clay County will not simply remember American history.\nWe will add a page to it. May God bless Clay County, and may God\ncontinue to bless the United States of America.\n  I include in the Record the following proclamation:\n\n       WHEREAS, on July 4, 1776, our nation's founders declared\n     that all people are created equal and are endowed with the\n     unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of\n     happiness, establishing the principles that continue to guide\n     the United States of America; and\n       WHEREAS, for 250 years, generations of Americans have\n     defended those ideals through service, sacrifice, innovation,\n     civic engagement, and an unwavering commitment to self-\n     government; and\n       WHEREAS, Clay County has played an important role in our\n     nation's history, from its early settlements along the St.\n     Johns River to its enduring support of agriculture, military\n     service, conservation, commerce, and the freedoms that define\n     our American way of life; and\n       WHEREAS, the people of Clay County have built strong\n     communities rooted in faith, family, hard work, and public\n     service, creating a legacy that reflects the very principles\n     upon which our Nation was founded; and\n       WHEREAS, the 250th anniversary of the United States offers\n     an opportunity to honor the courage and vision of those who\n     came before us while recognizing our shared responsibility to\n     preserve our history, protect our freedoms, and strengthen\n     our communities for future generations; and\n       WHEREAS, Clay County is proud to commemorate America's\n     Semiquincentennial through educational programs, community\n     celebrations, historic preservation efforts, and the\n     establishment of a permanent Charters of Freedom display,\n     creating a lasting tribute to the Declaration of\n     Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of\n     Rights for residents and visitors alike; and\n       WHEREAS, this anniversary reminds us that the American\n     story is still being written, and that each generation has\n     the privilege and responsibility to safeguard liberty,\n     encourage civic participation, and inspire those who will\n     follow us; and\n       NOW, THEREFORE, WE, the undersigned elected officials of\n     Clay County, together with our state and federal legislative\n     partners, do hereby proclaim our shared commitment to\n     honoring the 250th Anniversary of the United States of\n     America.\n       We encourage all residents to reflect upon our nation's\n     history, celebrate the enduring ideals of freedom and\n     democracy, recognize the sacrifices made to preserve them,\n     and work together to ensure that the blessings of liberty\n     continue for generations to come.\n       IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands this\n     14th day of October, in Clay County, Florida, in celebration\n     of America 250 and in recognition of our enduring commitment\n     to our Nation, our community, and the generations yet to\n     come.\n\n                          ____________________"]], "columns": ["granule_id", "date", "congress", "session", "volume", "issue", "title", "chamber", "granule_class", "sub_granule_class", "page_start", "page_end", "speakers", "bills", "citation", "full_text"], "primary_keys": ["granule_id"], "primary_key_values": ["CREC-2026-10-01-pt1-PgE1006"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.30689401319250464, "source": "Federal Register API & Regulations.gov API", "source_url": "https://www.federalregister.gov/developers/api/v1", "license": "Public Domain (U.S. Government data)", "license_url": "https://www.regulations.gov/faq"}
