The SPEAKER presented a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana, relative to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 40, to memorialize the Congress of the United States to ensure the timely passage of appropriation measures that fully fund and align with the National Defense Authorization Act in order to support the readiness, stability, and well-being of United States military personnel and their families; to the Committee on Appropriations. ML-115. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana, relative to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 59, to memorialize the Congress of the United States to reevaluate and redraw flood-risk maps and systems upon fifty percent completion of the Comite River Diversion Canal Project and decrease insurance rates based on mitigation progress in Louisiana; to the Committee on Financial Services. ML-116. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Resolution No. 179, requesting the President of the United States and Congress to supply Ukraine with the weapons needed to fully defend itself against Russian attacks [[Page H5230]] and retake its territory as recognized by international law; to the Committee on Foreign Affairs. ML-117. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Resolution 9, requesting the United States Congress to pass legislation to amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity in employment, housing, public accommodations, education, federally funded programs, credit, and jury service; to the Committee on the Judiciary. ML-118. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Resolution No. 139, requesting the Federal Government to provide supplemental funding to increase compensation for adult corrections officers employed by the state of Hawaii's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; to the Committee on the Judiciary. ML-119. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 11, requesting the United States Congress to pass legislation to amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity in employment, housing, public accommodations, education, federally funded programs, credit, and jury service; to the Committee on the Judiciary. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana, relative to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 30, to memorialize the United States Congress to take such actions as are necessary to ensure that all individuals implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein files, including those involved in alleged criminal activities such as child sex trafficking, blackmail, and bribery are fully disclosed, investigated, prosecuted, and held responsible through every available legal process; to the Committee on the Judiciary. ML-121. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana, relative to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 70, to memorialize the Congress of the United States and the administration of United States President Donald Trump to take such actions as are necessary to pass the Major Richard Star Act to ensure that combat-wounded, medically retired service members receive full military entitlements; jointly to the Committees on Armed Services and Veterans' Affairs. ML-122. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Resolution 55, endorsing Taiwan's international participation, supporting the signing of a United States-Taiwan agreement on avoidance of double taxation, and commemorating the sister-state relationship between the state and Taiwan; jointly to the Committees on Foreign Affairs and Ways and Means. ML-123. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 57, endorsing Taiwan's international participation, supporting the signing of a United States-Taiwan agreement on avoidance of double taxation, and commemorating the sister-state relationship between the state and Taiwan; jointly to the Committees on Foreign Affairs and Ways and Means. ML-124. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Hawaii, relative to Senate Resolution No. 58, requesting the United States Congress to enact legislation to remove cannabis from the Federal Controlled Substances Act, provide support to states that are clearing defendant's records of cannabis offenses, and facilitate access to the full spectrum of banking services for cannabis-related businesses; jointly to the Committees on the Judiciary, Energy and Commerce, and Financial Services. ____________________
