Page S2664 Measures Reported: S. 2033, to direct the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on existing programs, rules, and authorities that enable or inhibit wildfire mitigation across land ownership boundaries on Federal and non-Federal land, with an amendment in the nature of a substitute. Pages S2663-64 Measures Passed: Congressional Gold Medal: Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs was discharged from further consideration of S. 645, to award a Congressional Gold Medal, collectively, to the individuals and communities who volunteered or donated items to the North Platte Canteen in North Platte, Nebraska, during World War II from December 25, 1941, to April 1, 1946, and the bill was then passed. Page S2669 Women and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Act: Senate passed S. 1157, to direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to conduct a review to evaluate the status of research on lung cancer in women and underserved populations, after agreeing to the committee amendment in the nature of a substitute.
